How it works
Tell us the murti you like or the deity, size and finish you need, and your city.
We send a written quotation with the murti, packing and shipping to the UK shown separately.
Once you confirm, the murti is prepared or made, then checked before packing.
The murti is packed to protect the carving and shipped to your address.
Many UK homes have their mandir in an alcove, on a shelf, in a converted cupboard or in a corner of a living room, and space is often tighter than in a detached house. Measure the internal height, width and depth of the space before choosing a size. We can give dimensions in centimetres and inches, as murti heights in India are usually quoted in inches.
Think about the route into the house as well. Terraced houses, upstairs flats and narrow staircases can make a large crate difficult to carry, and some flats have lifts with weight limits. For a large murti, check doorway widths and whether there are steps at the front door.
Goods sent to the UK from abroad may be subject to import VAT and, depending on the goods and their value, customs duty. These charges are set by UK law and collected on behalf of HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC). Rates and thresholds change, so we do not quote them here. GOV.UK has an official page explaining tax and duty on goods sent from abroad, linked below.
When a courier or Royal Mail clears goods through customs for you, they usually ask you to pay any VAT and duty before delivery and may add their own handling or clearance fee. This fee is charged by the carrier, not by HMRC. Deliveries to Northern Ireland can follow slightly different arrangements, so customers there should check the GOV.UK guidance for their situation.
Marble is dense, so even a modest murti needs careful packing. Wooden crates used for international shipping must meet the ISPM 15 standard, which means the timber is heat treated and stamped. Larger pieces may travel by freight rather than by courier, with a delivery appointment for the final leg.
Delivery estimates depend on the destination, the size of the murti and the shipping method, and we confirm them in your quotation.
Diwali and Navratri are celebrated widely across the UK, and Ganesh Chaturthi and Janmashtami are important in many households and mandirs. Because festival dates follow the lunar calendar, they fall on different dates each year. A made-to-order murti needs time for carving, finishing, packing, shipping and customs clearance, so if you are ordering for a festival, a griha pravesh or a wedding, tell us the date in your first message.
Mandirs, charities and cultural associations in the UK sometimes order murtis for a new building, a refurbishment or a replacement. Committees usually need a clear written specification and quotation to share with trustees. Send us the sanctum dimensions, photographs of the space and any requirements from your priest, and we will reply with what is possible.
Each international quotation lists the murti, packing and shipping separately so that you can see the full picture before you decide.

Packing and delivery
Every murti is packed by our own specialised packing team, following industrial export packing standards. The packing is chosen for each piece according to its size, weight and delicacy, so that it reaches you safely.
Shipping depends on the size and weight of the murti and the destination. We quote the shipping cost separately so you can see the full picture.
Import duties and taxes are set by the destination country. We explain what to expect when we quote, and point you to the official customs guidance for your country.

FAQ
Goods sent from abroad may be subject to import VAT and sometimes customs duty. The amount depends on the goods and their value under current UK rules. GOV.UK explains how this works, and your quotation will state what is and is not included.
Couriers and Royal Mail often charge a handling or clearance fee when they pay import VAT or duty on your behalf. This is the carrier's own charge, separate from the tax itself.
Northern Ireland can follow different arrangements for goods arriving from outside the UK. Please check the current GOV.UK guidance and mention that you are in Northern Ireland when you enquire.
It depends on the murti, the crate and your home. Measure doorways, hallways and stairs, and tell us about steps or upstairs flats so we can advise on size and delivery.
