Jhulelal is revered by Sindhi Hindus as a form associated with Varuna, the deity of water, and with the river Indus. He is most often shown as a bearded elder wearing a crown, seated on a palla fish rising from the water. Many murtis show him holding a rosary or a sacred text. Details such as the posture, the canopy and the colours of the robes vary between families and darbars, so it helps to share a photograph of the form you worship.
Sindhi communities in the UK, North America, the Gulf, South-East Asia, Africa and Europe often install a Jhulelal murti alongside other deities in a shared mandir or darbar. If your community is planning a new murti for Cheti Chand or for a new or renovated mandir, tell us the height, where it will stand and how it will be shipped, and we will reply with suitable options or a quotation.
