Who we are

This website is operated by Swarnim Arts, which is responsible (the data controller) for the personal information collected through it.

Swarnim Arts, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. For any question or request about your personal information, email info@swarnimarts.com.

Information we collect

When you make an enquiry

Our enquiry and custom order forms ask for your name, email address, WhatsApp or phone number, how you would like us to reply, your country and a message, and some forms also ask for your city and details of the murti you want. Along with your message, the form sends the page you submitted it from and basic information about how you arrived at the website: the first page you landed on, the referring website and any campaign tags in the link you followed (such as UTM parameters or Google and Meta click identifiers). This source information is held in your browser only for the current session and is sent to us only if you submit a form.

When you message us on WhatsApp or by email

If you choose to contact us on WhatsApp or by email, we receive your phone number or email address, your name as it appears on that service, and the content of your messages and any files you send.

When you browse the website

If you accept analytics and advertising cookies, the tools described below collect information about how you use the website, such as pages viewed, the device and browser you use, your approximate location and how you arrived at the site. If you do not accept them, these tools are not loaded.

How we use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry and send you information, photographs and quotations you have asked for.
  • To take, make, pack and deliver an order, and to keep records of it.
  • To understand which pages and campaigns lead to enquiries, using the source information sent with the form.
  • To understand how the website is used and improve it, if you have accepted analytics cookies.
  • To measure the results of our advertising, if you have accepted advertising cookies.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performing that contract, when we handle enquiries and orders; your consent for analytics and advertising cookies; legitimate interests for keeping ordinary business records and replying to general messages; and legal obligation where the law requires us to keep records.

Where your information is stored

Enquiry form submissions are delivered through Formspree, a form-processing service, to our business email inbox, and are also kept in our private Formspree account. Reference images or documents you send us on WhatsApp or by email stay in those conversations. Access is limited to people at Swarnim Arts who need it to handle your enquiry or order. Formspree, Google (for email) and Meta (for WhatsApp) provide these services and process the information on our behalf.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

When you first visit, a cookie banner asks whether you accept optional cookies. We may use the following tools, and each one only loads after you accept:

  • Google Analytics 4 (Google), to understand how visitors use the website.
  • Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft), to see how pages are used, for example through heatmaps and session recordings, so that we can improve the design.
  • Google Ads (Google), to measure whether our adverts lead to enquiries.
  • Meta Pixel (Meta), to measure whether our adverts on Facebook and Instagram lead to enquiries.

If you decline, these tools are not loaded. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this website's cookies and stored data in your browser, after which the banner will ask again. Each provider handles the data it collects under its own privacy policy.

WhatsApp

WhatsApp is operated by Meta. If you choose to message us on WhatsApp, your messages are handled by WhatsApp under its own terms and privacy policy, as well as by us under this policy. If you prefer not to use WhatsApp, you can contact us through the enquiry form or by email.

Sharing your information

We share personal information only where needed: with the service providers named above; with shipping carriers, freight agents and customs brokers, who need your name, address and phone number to deliver an order; with payment providers when you pay; and with authorities where the law requires it.

International transfers

Swarnim Arts is based in India, and our service providers may process information in other countries. When your information is transferred outside the UK or the European Economic Area, we rely on the safeguards offered by those providers, such as standard contractual clauses, where the law requires them.

How long we keep information

We keep the details of enquiries that do not lead to an order for two years after our last contact with you. Order records are kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires. After that we delete them or keep them only in a form that no longer identifies you.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
  • ask for your information in a portable format;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, for example to analytics cookies.

These rights exist under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, and similar rights exist under other laws, such as India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. To make a request, email us. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to your local data protection authority; in the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

This website is intended for adults making purchasing decisions. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if the way we handle personal information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
