Swarnim ArtsMarble Murtis

Delivery

International shipping

Marble is heavy and carved details are delicate. This page explains how a murti travels from our workshop to your home or temple, and what to expect along the way.

Short answer

Can Swarnim Arts ship a marble murti to my country?

Yes. Swarnim Arts ships marble murtis worldwide from Jaipur, including to the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, New Zealand, Singapore and Europe. Each murti is packed to protect its carving, and packing and shipping are quoted separately so you can see the full cost before you order.

The journey

How a murti is shipped

  1. Quotation

We quote packing and shipping to your address based on the murti's size, weight and destination.

  2. Packing

The murti is packed to protect it from impact, with particular care for carved details.

  3. Documents

The shipment travels with the paperwork customs needs, such as a commercial invoice and packing list.

  4. Transit

Smaller murtis usually travel by courier; larger, heavier murtis by air or sea freight.

  5. Customs

The shipment is cleared by customs in your country, where duties and taxes may be assessed.

  6. Delivery

The murti is delivered to your address. Inspect the packaging before signing, and photograph any damage.

Packaging

  • Every murti is packed by our own specialised packing team, following industrial export packing standards.
  • The packing is chosen for each piece according to its size, weight and delicacy, so that it reaches you safely.

Wooden packaging used for international shipments generally has to meet the ISPM 15 standard (heat-treated and marked) so that it is accepted by customs. More about packaging.

Shipping methods

The method depends on the size and weight of the murti and your location. We recommend an option in your quotation and explain the trade-off between cost and speed.

Customs, duties and taxes

Import duties and taxes are set by the destination country. They depend on how the goods are classified, their declared value and the rules in force when they arrive. Couriers and freight agents may also charge a fee for handling customs clearance.

Our country pages link to the official customs authority for each market.

When your murti arrives

  • Check the outer packaging before signing, and note any visible damage with the carrier.
  • Photograph the packaging and the murti as you unpack it.
  • Unpack slowly: lift from the base, never by the arms, crown or other projecting details.
  • Contact us promptly if anything is wrong, with your photographs.
